Cop killed in South Cotabato ambush

COTABATO CITY , Philippines — A policeman was killed and two others were wounded in an ambush in Barangay Pulonuling in Tupi, South Cotabato yesterday.

The fatality was identified as Sgt. Espero Pescuela. Sgts. Jorex Velasco and Jerome Silvederio were wounded.

The victims were in a car when unidentified men in another vehicle attacked them along the Koronadal-General Santos Highway.

The Soccsksargen and Cotabato police are investigating the incident.
