Go aids frontliners, patients in Dagupan
MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go visited the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City, Pangasinan on Friday to check on the operations of the Malasakit Center and give support to medical frontliners.
In his speech, the senator expressed his gratitude to medical frontliners and other hospital workers for their service and sacrifice throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Go reiterated his commitment to fight for the welfare of medical workers and gave assurance that the government is doing everything to ensure they get what they need to continue delivering their services, especially during these extraordinary times.
Go’s staff distributed meals, food packs, vitamins, face masks and face shields to 1,628 frontliners and patients.
Selected frontliners were given bicycles for their daily commute while others received new pairs of shoes. Some health workers received tablets to help their children study better under the blended learning setup.
Representatives of the Department of Social Welfare and Development also distributed assistance to medical workers and patients.
