John Unson - The Philippine Star

KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines — New People’s Army rebels released in Don Carlos, Bukidnon on Wednesday night a technician of a power utility they snatched in Arakan, North Cotabato on Monday.

Kier Sedilio, not Selibio as initially reported by the police, was reunited with his co-workers and family members, Godofredo Homez, manager of the Cotabato Electric Cooperative (COTELCO) confirmed yesterday.

Sedilio, a solar power technician, was inspecting COTELCO’s solar power generating facilities in Barangay Kabalantian when he was seized on suspicion that he was spying for the military.

Homez said Sedilio was found hogtied and blindfolded along the highway.
