8 hurt in Maguindanao road mishap

MAGUINDANAO, Philippines — Six soldiers and two civilians were injured when a dump truck hit the lead vehicle in the convoy of Sultan Kudarat Gov. Suharto Mangudadatu in Datu Odin Sinsuat yesterday.

Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy, 6th Infantry Division commander, said the victims were brought to the Notre Dame Hospital in Cotabato City.

The victims were in a pickup when the accident occurred in Barangay Baca.

An investigation is ongoing.
