South Korea donates rice to typhoon victims

MANILA, Philippines — The South Korean government has donated 1,000 metric tons of rice to victims of recent typhoons in Catanduanes.

The donation was made under the tier 3 program of the ASEAN plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve.

The turnover was held at the Batangas office of the National Food Authority (NFA) on Friday.

Counsellor Sang-hui Lee, who was accompanied by First Secretary Seah Park of the Korean embassy, attended the turnover ceremony and acknowledged on behalf of Ambassador Dong-man Han the bilateral relations and cooperation between the Philippines and South Korea.

NFA officials who attended the turnover ceremony thanked the South Korean government for its donation.
