NPA rebel held in drug bust

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines —  A New People’s Army (NPA) rebel is one of the two ”high-value” drug suspects arrested in anti-narcotics operations in Zamboanga peninsula on Thursday.

Police said Marlon Narciso, alias Arman, 33, is a member of an NPA group in Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur led by a certain Kalaw.

Two sachets of shabu, an improvised gun and several rounds of ammunition were reportedly recovered from the suspect in Purok Magsaysay, Barangay Bigong.

Police said Nadzmin Oram Misba, 27, was arrested in Barangay Talon-Talon in this city.

Misba reportedly yielded 200 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P2.8 million.
