Woman, 73, hit by two vehicles in Tondo

MANILA, Philippines — A 73-year-old street sweeper died after being hit by two vehicles in Tondo, Manila on Friday night.

Lydia Infante was crossing Honorio Lopez Boulevard when she was hit by a sport utility vehicle driven by Dennis dela Cruz and then by a taxi driven by Anecito Pequit, according to the Manila Police District traffic enforcement unit.

The victim died after being rushed to a nearby hospital.

The drivers will face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
