Magnitude 4.3 quake jolts Zamboanga Sur
ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A magnitude 4.3 earthquake shook Zamboanga del Sur on Thursday night.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake struck six kilometers north of Midsalip at around 8:17 p.m.
The quake had a depth of 13 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.
It was felt at Intensity 3 in Dipolog City and Intensity 2 in Molave.
Another quake with a magnitude of 2.3 struck at about 7:07 a.m. yesterday. The epicenter of the quake was located seven kilometers northwest of Pagadian City.
Phivolcs said there was no report of damage or injury due to the quakes. – Romina Cabrera
