Bello loses phone to snatchers

MANILA, Philippines — Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III lost his cellular phone to snatchers near the Manila city hall on Friday.

According to a police report, Bello was in his car along P. Burgos street when two unidentified men grabbed his iPhone.

Police said Bello was stuck in traffic.

He opened the car’s window to boost his cell phone signal, police said.

The suspects then took Bello’s mobile phone and fled.

Bello reported the incident to the police.

Witnesses told probers that two men, known only as Udong and Butch, were seen running from the scene after the snatching incident.

Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects to recover Bello’s phone.
