Araneta Center bus terminal closed

Emmanuel Tupas - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Araneta Center bus terminal in Quezon City has stopped operations as cemeteries are closed during the All Saints’ Day break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

There were no passengers lining up at the bus terminal, based on yesterday’s video clips from GMA News, unlike in previous years when it was full of commuters going to the provinces.

Stalls for goods in the terminal are also closed.

The government has ordered the closure of all cemeteries in the country from Oct. 29 to Nov. 4 to prevent crowding and curb the spread of COVID-19.

It is unclear when the bus terminal will resume operations.
