10 BIFF men surrender

MAGUINDANAO, Philippines — Ten members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) surrendered in Sultan sa Barongis town on Thursday.

Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy, 6th Infantry Division (ID) commander, said Narix Saligan, Ting Dadin, Kamarudin and Mosanip Maguid, Nana Makalimpas, Walid Milikano, Allan Bagel, Macky Sandigan, Bastih Usman and Datukan Palaguyan turned over their rifles as well as bomb materials.

More than 200 BIFF members have surrendered to the 6th ID since 2017.

Uy thanked local government units for initiating dialogues with BIFF leaders to convince them and their followers to return to the fold of the law.
