Army gets COVID-19 testing machines from ADB
MANILA, Philippines — The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has donated two reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) machines to the Philippine Army to boost the military’s COVID-19 testing capabilities.
Army commanding general Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana and ADB Office of Administrative Services director Lakshmi Menon led the turnover ceremony over the weekend.
The Army thanked the ADB for the donation.
“These RT-PCR testing machines will increase the capacity of the Army’s molecular laboratory, effectively ensuring a healthier military force,” Sobejana said.
