Ed Amoroso, Neil Jayson Servallos - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Illegal drugs with an estimated street value of P88 million have been seized from three suspected drug traffickers in separate stings in Bacoor, Cavite, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said yesterday.

Bino Sampaco and Javier Mala were arrested after they reportedly sold an undetermined amount of shabu to undercover agents in Barangay Molino 2 on Sunday night.

Police said they recovered from the suspects P34 million worth of shabu placed in tea bags.

Thirty minutes later, police arrested Mira-Ato Macarampat in a follow up operation in nearby Citta Italia Subdivision.

Macarampat reportedly yielded eight kilos of shabu with an estimated street value of P54.4 million. He was allegedly an accomplice of Sampaco and Mala.

The suspects were taken to the police station for investigation and filing of proper charges.
