CDC president resigns

CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga, Philippines — The president and chief executive officer of the state-owned Clark Development Corp. (CDC) has resigned.

Noel Manankil resigned for personal reasons, CDC public relations chief Noel Tulabut said yesterday.

In a letter to Clark locators, CDC employees and ”all concerned,” CDC board chairman Jose de Jesus said the CDC board of directors approved the designation of Mariza Mandocdoc as officer-in-charge.

”Mandocdoc will assume the post on Oct. 23 until a regular president and chief executive officer shall have been elected,” De Jesus’ letter dated yesterday read.

Malacañang appoints the head of the CDC.
