Bullied security guard kills buddy
MANILA, Philippines — A 29-year-old security guard allegedly shot dead his colleague for bullying him in Tondo, Manila on Saturday night.
Lemuel John Estrada, of Sta. Maria, Bulacan, and Steven Morales, 41, of Antipolo, Rizal, were manning their post in a factory at the corner of Mayhaligue and Antonio Rivera streets when they got into an argument.
According to a police report, Estrada allegedly pulled out his 9mm pistol and fired at Morales.
Estrada tried to escape after the shooting. He was arrested by patrolling policemen who noticed the commotion after witnesses chased the suspect.
Morales died while being treated at the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center.
During investigation, Estrada said the victim had been bullying him.
Estrada is being held by police on murder charges.
