Robertzon Ramirez, Rudy Santos - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has confiscated P1.5 million worth of guns, gun parts and accessories at the Central Mail Exchange Center in Pasay City.

The items came in 28 parcels sent from the United States on different dates and consigned to different recipients, according to BOC-Ninoy Aquino International Airport district collector Mimel Talusan.

They were not covered by import permits from the Firearms and Explosives Office of the Philippine National Police.

Charges of unlawful importation, in relation to the comprehensive firearms and ammunition regulation law, are being readied against the importers.
