Oslob fishers get aid from Go
MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go’s team distributed relief assistance to 198 members of Tan-awan Oslob Sea Warden and Fishermen Association in Cebu on Thursday.
Go’s staff distributed vitamins, food packs, face masks and face shields. They also gave bicycles to selected beneficiaries.
“Mayroon akong ipinadala diyan na pagkain, face shield at mask. Huwag tayong magkumpiyansa,” he said.
Representatives of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) provided financial aid to 176 fishermen-beneficiaries through the assistance to individuals in crisis situation or AICS program.
The Department of Trade and Industry evaluated prospective beneficiaries of the livelihood assistance.
The senator said fishermen who need medical assistance could visit the Malasakit Center at the Talisay District Hospital.
