64 killed in North Cotabato shooting

NORTH COTABATO , Philippines —  Four villagers were killed in a shooting in Pikit town yesterday.

Sittie Abdullah, 58; Zenaida Mustapha, 36; Lagah Abdullah, 34, and Ashley Panigas, 3, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.

Four other persons, three of them children aged 13, seven and eight, were wounded in the attack.

Capt. Mautin Panandigan, town police chief, said unidentified men strafed the houses of the victims in Sitio Tugunan, Barangay Lagundi.

An investigation is ongoing
