MANILA, Philippines — At least P75.2 million worth of shabu has been recovered in anti-narcotics operations on Negros island.

Police said ”high-value” target Emmanuel Siaboc yielded 2.05 kilos of shabu worth P13.9 million in Barangay 1 Poblacion, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Monday.

On Sunday, P13.7 million worth of shabu was recovered from Joemarie Yongco, who was killed in a sting in Barangay Magatas, Sibulan, Negros Oriental, according to Col. Arnel Banzon, Negros Oriental police director.

Lt. Col. Joem Malong, Western Visayas police director, said the seized shabu appeared to have originated from the same source, citing the packaging and mode of transporting the illegal drugs.

Also on Sunday, anti-drug operatives seized seven kilos of shabu worth P47.6 million from three suspects in Cebu City.

Police said the illegal drugs were picked up from a ship that arrived at San Carlos City in Negros Occidental and docked at the Toledo port.

In Nueva Ecija, Joel Tubera, alias Kano, who had posed as a police officer, was killed in a sting in Barangay Camanacsacan at around 1:20 a.m.

Fifteen sachets of shabu and six sachets of dried marijuana with a total value of P160,000 as well as a .38-caliber revolver were reportedly recovered from the fatality.
