Raymond Catindig - The Philippine Star

TUGUEGARAO CITY,  Cagayan, Philippines —  A police officer tagged in the killing of a 15-year-old girl in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur last July has been dismissed from the service.

S/Sgt. Randy Ramos was dismissed for conduct unbecoming of an officer, according to the Ilocos police Internal Affairs Services (IAS).

The rape charge filed by the cousin of the fatality against Ramos was dismissed after the victim did not file a sworn complaint.

The IAS said investigation of the acts of lasciviousness complaint that the 15-year-old filed against S/Sgt. Marawi Torda is ongoing.

The two police officers allegedly shot the victim after she and her cousin filed the complaints at the Cabugao police station.

The victims were arrested by the respondents for violating curfew rules after the girls attended a party in San Juan town.
