9 nabbed for fake travel passes, COVID-19 test results

MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested nine persons for making fake travel passes and rapid antibody test results during a raid on a shop in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Monday afternoon.

Shop owner Rommel Gonzales, Randrex Gonzales, Richelle Gonzales, Elizabeth Raposas, Mary Jean Guban, Rosemarie Saludo, Maricar Pabello, Deobrat Sas and a 17-year-old errand boy were apprehended after the shop issued an undercover police officer a ready-made rapid test result and a travel pass.

They were charged with falsification of public documents in relation to Republic Act 11332, the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act.
