Suspect in slay of governers aide nabbed

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija , Philippines — One of the suspects in the killing of the personal secretary of Nueva Ecija Gov. Aurelio Umali was arrested on Saturday.

Ronald Magat, alias Geron, of  Barangay Tondod, San Jose City was collared based on a warrant issued by Judge Eleanor Marbas Viscarra of the Regional Trial Court Branch 89.

No bail was recommended for Magat’s temporary liberty, according to Col. Marvin Joe Saro, provincial police director.

Magat was tagged in the killing of Mary Anne Hernandez, who was shot dead in Barangay Marco, Talavera two years ago.

The suspect was brought to the San Jose City police station for proper disposition.
