1 dead in Bulacan drug sting

MALOLOS, Philippines — A drug suspect was killed in a sting in Bulacan on Tuesday.

Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan police director, said Angelo Gimeno engaged anti-drug operatives in a shootout in Barangay Daungan in Guiguinto town at around 8:30 p.m.

Cajipe said a .38-caliber revolver, eight sachets of shabu and a motorcycle were recovered from the fatality.

Fifteen other drug suspects were arrested in simultaneous anti-drug operations in San Jose del Monte City, Meycauayan City, Baliwag and San Ildefonso.

Thirty-three sachets of shabu and marked money were reportedly recovered from the suspects.
