LPA spotted off Palawan

Romina Cabrera - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area spotted west of Palawan will dump scattered rains over the island as well as in the Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said yesterday.

Meanwhile, the trough of the low-pressure area will bring rainshowers and thunderstorms over Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), Bicol, the Visayas and Mindanao.

The weather disturbance is expected to leave the Philippine area of responsibility today.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have fair weather and isolated rain showers, PAGASA said.
