58 more cops infected with COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police reported 58 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 on Sunday, bringing to 2,249 the total number of PNP personnel infected with COVID-19.
Data showed that a majority of the cases were recorded at the National Capital Region Police Office with 20 followed by the Central Luzon Regional Police Office with nine.
The National Administrative Unit posted five cases while the PNP national headquarters at Camp Crame and Civil Security Group logged four cases each.
The Calabarzon Police Office registered two cases. The Police Security and Protection Group and the regional police offices of Central Visayas, Zamboanga peninsula and Davao have one each.
The PNP said 232 police personnel have recovered from the disease. The number of fatalities remained at 11.
