SPD cop shot dead

MANILA, Philippines — A policeman of the Southern Police District was shot dead in Las Piñas yesterday morning.

S/Sgt. Julius Fabre was gunned down by two unidentified assailants as he was buying chicken feed along Padre Diego Sierra street at around 7:45 a.m., according to a National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) report.

The two assailants were in a white Ford Everest, police said.

Fabre was declared dead on arrival at a hospital from gunshot wounds in the body.

Police are investigating the attack.
