Makati teachers to get 2,500 laptops
MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Makati is set to buy 2,500 new laptop computers for its public school teachers, Mayor Abby Binay said on Thursday.
The computers “complement our hybrid learning system where the city government will provide learners’ package with on-the-go (OTG) flash drive, printed modules and daily five-hour internet load for pupils and teachers,” she said.
The package would be given to the city’s 85,000 public school students, along with two washable face masks, the city government earlier announced.
Under the hybrid learning system, teachers would upload the lessons for the week on the flash drives and students would claim the flash drives and the printed modules.
Students and teachers could meet using video call applications on Google and Facebook.
