MANILA, Philippines — Two Chinese men and a Filipino woman were arrested in Sta. Maria, Bulacan on Tuesday for alleged possession of a kilo of shabu worth P6.8 million.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency spokesman Derrick Carreon said Feiyue Shia, 54; Zhicheng Lu, 43, and Elgine Monzaga, 23, were apprehended in a sting in Barangay Caysio around 11:50 p.m.

A Toyota Camry, a cell phone, a Bureau of Immigration identification card and passports were reportedly recovered from the suspects.

Meanwhile, in Plaridel, also in Bulacan, suspected drug dealer Noli de Leon, 35, was killed in an alleged shootout with anti-narcotics agents in Barangay Banga 1st before dawn yesterday.

De Leon and his companion, who has yet to be identified, drew their guns when they sensed they had transacted with undercover agents, according to Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan police director.

De Leon died at the scene. His alleged cohort escaped.
