LAGUNA, Philippines — The prime suspect in the killing of a female driver, whose body was found in her vehicle in Calamba City, Laguna last month, was arrested in Antipolo City on Friday.

Witnesses identified Ann Sheila Montes Belarmino through video footage of a closed-circuit television camera as the person last seen with Jingle ”Jang” Lucero, 34,  in her car, according to Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao, Calabarzon police director.

“We wanted to have an airtight case. The suspect is among the five persons of interests,” Danao said.

Probers are eyeing a love triangle as the motive for the killing.

Danao said Belarmino has expressed her intention to execute an extrajudicial confession.

A manhunt for the other suspects in Bay and nearby towns in Laguna is underway.

Lucero’s body, which bore 52 stab wounds, was discovered in her car along the Bucal bypass road in Barangay Maunong around 11 p.m. on June 28.
