DAR delivers land titles to agrarian reform beneficiaries
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has conducted its first “door-to-door” delivery of land titles to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Laguna.
DAR Secretary John Castriciones led the awarding of certificates of land ownership award to 43 ARBs in Paete, Laguna through its “Serbisyong DAR-to-DOOR.” The CLOAs covered a total of 38.7 hectares.
“This is the first time that DAR has done this. It is fulfilling and it’s worth it,” Castriciones said.
The distribution of the remaining land titles was held in a covered court.
Castriciones handed the CLOAs to ARBs from Barangays Wawa and Magsaysay in Siniloan town.
Provincial agrarian reform program officer Elizabeth Villapando said the titles are among the 1,353 CLOAs turned-over by the Land Bank of the Philippines-Agrarian Reform Operations Center.
Villapando said health and safety protocols such as social distancing and wearing of face masks were observed during the ceremony.
