Woman shot dead in Antipolo

MANILA, Philippines — A woman was gunned down in Antipolo City, Rizal on Friday.

Quoting witnesses, police said  Marivic Tan was standing in front of her store in Barangay Mayamot when she was shot.

Although wounded, Tan managed to run inside her store, but one of the gunmen followed and shot her in the head.

The suspects fled in a car that sped toward Marcos Highway.

Col. Renato Alba, Rizal police director, said the victim filed charges for murder and frustrated murder in Balagtas, Batangas last December.

An investigation is ongoing.
