Cop held for extortion in Pangasinan
LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – A police officer was arrested in an entrapment at the police station here on Monday.
Senior M/Sgt. Pedro Vinluan, 38, a resident of Calasiao town, was apprehended after receiving P15,000 in marked money, a cellular phone and a 9mm pistol with bullets, according to a report of the regional police office.
Christopher Sison, 46, said Vinluan demanded P30,000 in exchange for the dropping of charges against his wife and her companions, who were arrested for illegal gambling on June 27.
