PALAWAN, Philippines — The head of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Palawan is under fire for allegedly violating quarantine protocols in Narra town.

Jerry Alili was not wearing a face mask when he confronted a policewoman who asked him to log his name at the registration area when his pickup was pulled over at a checkpoint in Barangay Sandoval on June 27, according to Narra police chief Maj. Romerico Remo.

In his report, Remo said Alili ”arrogantly” identified himself as the provincial head of the inter-agency task force against the coronavirus disease 2019.

The Palawan police is investigating the incident.
