Quake hits Eastern Samar

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude-3.5 earthquake rocked parts of Eastern Samar yesterday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The epicenter of the quake, which occurred at 10:20 a.m., was located 19 kilometers northeast of San Julian town.
The temblor was felt at Intensity 3 in San Julian and Borongan, and Intensity 2 in Sulat town, all in Eastern Samar.
No damage or aftershocks were expected from the quake, Phivolcs said.
