German held for killing Filipino wife

LUCENA CITY, Philippines  –  A German citizen was arrested on Friday for allegedly killing his Filipino wife in Pagbilao, Quezon.

Martin Carl Otto Turk, 75, was apprehended by village watchmen who turned him over to the police, according to Col. Audie Madrideo, Quezon police director.

The decomposing  body of Basilisa, 75, was discovered by her sister at the couple’s home in Barangay Ibaba Polo around 6 p.m.

Basilisa’s sister Helinda Crisologo, said she decided to go to the house of the couple because she could not contact the victim through her cellular phone.

Prior to the incident, the victim informed her relatives that she had an argument with her husband and he threatened to kill her.  Ed Amoroso
