Installation of Cavitex traffic lights to resume

Richmond Mercurio - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Cavitex Infrastructure Corp. (CIC), the concessionaire of the Manila-Cavite Expressway, will resume next week the installation of traffic lights at the Cavitex’s Moonwalk-West Service Road intersection.

The project was suspended in March due to the enhanced community quarantine imposed in Metro Manila.

With construction to resume on June 30, the CIC advised motorists to expect single-lane closures in some portions of the intersection from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The firm expects to complete the project by August. The traffic signals will be turned over to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority for operations and maintenance.

In addition to traffic signals, CIC said it would also conduct drainage works at the West Service Road entry ramp area from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m.

A portion of the West Service Road entry ramp will be closed to traffic and Merville-bound motorists will be diverted to the West Service Road exit ramp, which will be converted into a two-way traffic lane.
