Farmer beheaded in Antique

ILOILO CITY, Philippines — Two men allegedly beheaded a farmer in San Remigio, Antique on Tuesday.

Ruben Gregorio, 27, and Joseph Anacleto, 30, who followed the victim, Ronito Aniceto, 63, on his way home to Sitio Puro, Barangay Nasuli, hacked him to death using bolos, Lt. Johnny Arnad, town police chief, said.

Aniceto’s severed head was recovered around nine meters away from his body.

One of the bolos was found at the crime scene. The other weapon was recovered from Gregorio.

S/Sgt. July Bob Miles said the hands of the suspects were still bloodied when they were arrested at their homes.
