Go continues aid to fire victims

MANILA, Philippines — The office of Sen. Bong Go is continuing its commitment to extend assistance to victims of fire incidents even as the country is dealing with the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.

In a statement issued yesterday, Go said he ensured that proper health protocols such as social distancing were strictly followed during the distribution of assistance.

Since late April, Go said his office has provided food, groceries and financial assistance to more than 2,000 Filipino fire victims all over the country.

He said the aid came from friends and private donors who believe in his advocacy to help each Filipino.
