P.5 million reward up for Cotabato City official’s killers

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — The reward for information leading to the arrest of the killers of the secretary of Mayor Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi of this city is now P550,000.

Anecito Rasalan was in an eatery when he was shot by motorcycle-riding assassins on Monday. He was buried yesterday.

Sayadi initially offered a reward of P300,000 for the arrest of the assailants.

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte offered another P30,000 while city officials contributed P220,000.

Rasalan survived an ambush in 2016.

Probers have yet to determine if the murder is related to the previous attempt on his life.
