Bacolod businessman shot dead

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — A businessman was gunned down in Barangay Villamonte in this city on Thursday afternoon.

Roland Tan was declared dead on arrival at the Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital, Maj. Renante Jomocan, Bacolod City police Station 4 chief, said.

Tan, owner of Crown Agri Infinity Lending Corp., was in his Toyota Land Cruiser in front of his establishment when the gunmen appeared and shot him several times.

Six bullet shells were recovered at the scene.
