6 Cebu City sitios on lockdown
CEBU, Philippines — Six sitios in Barangay Tejero in Cebu City were placed on lockdown yesterday.
Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella ordered the lockdown in Sitios IKP-Daclan, Vilgon-2, Sampaguita, ICM, Looban and Macarosa after the city health office recorded 75 cases of the coronavirus disease 2019.
Three new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the city yesterday, bringing the total number of infected persons to 1,702.
Labella’s spokesman Rey Gealon said a patient from Barangay Labangon has recovered, bringing the number of recoveries in the city to 76.
Gealon said those who tested negative for the virus would be transferred to a health facility for another 14 days of quarantine.
Cebu City along with Metro Manila and Laguna will remain under modified enhanced community quarantine until May 31.
