2 nabbed for selling overpriced medical supplies in Pampanga

CAMP OLIVAS, Philippines — Two persons were arrested in Barangay Dolores in San Fernando City, Pampanga on Friday for selling overpriced medical supplies.

Melissa Joy Lopez, 29, and Joseph Macalino, both residents of Barangay Dolores, yielded 23 containers of isopropyl alcohol, 4,000 surgical masks, 77 thermal scanners and sales invoice amounting to P846,500, according to Col.Eric Noble, Central Luzon police deputy regional director for operations.

In Bulacan, Col. Lawrence Cajipe, acting provincial police director, said three persons were arrested in Pulilan for playing mahjong, 12 in Bocaue for illegal cockfighting and 30 others in Calumpit and Hagonoy for not wearing face masks and ignoring physical distancing rules.
