MANILA, Philippines — The missing patient who tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been located in Quezon City.

Mayor Joy Belmonte yesterday confirmed in an ABS-CBN report that the patient was found in Barangay Batasan Hills.

She said the patient was found in a house with the same number and street name in Batasan Hills and not in Tandang Sora, which was initially indicated in the information submitted to a private hospital.

Residents in the house of the confirmed patient will undergo quarantine and would have food delivered to their doorstep, police said.

Belmonte earlier directed the Quezon City Police District to locate the missing patient, who was able to leave the private hospital where he sought treatment before the results of the test came out.

The mayor also confirmed that there are six new COVID-19 patients in the city, bringing the total to 38.

Of the six new cases, three are doctors, including one who passed away even before the results came out.

Belmonte said five patients have fully recovered, including the 13-year-old, who is so far the youngest Filipino to have contracted the virus.

The city has implemented “extreme enhanced community quarantine” in Barangays Kalusugan and Tandang Sora, which have at least two cases coming from different households.
