Robbery-slay suspect nabbed
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A security guard tagged in the robbery and murder of a woman was arrested in Tanza, Cavite on Monday afternoon.
Regie Boy Estabillo was identified by witnesses Teodoro Turero and Vincent Galang as the one who robbed and killed Sara Kaye Mido.
Galang is a co-worker of Estabillo, according to Lt. Col. Janet Arinado, spokesperson for the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) police.
The witnesses told police they saw Estabillo enter the house of the victim in Barangay Toclong in Kawit on Friday.
A police team arrested the suspect at the Borland Subdivision in Barangay Sanjamayor.
Probers said they recovered at the crime scene a kitchen knife believed used in the killing. They said the victim’s wallet was missing.
Charges of robbery with homicide will be filed against Estabillo, police said.
