2 die in North Cotabato road mishap

NORTH COTABATO, Philippines — Two persons died after a car hit a multicab in Arakan, North Cotabato on Monday.

Juan Nuevo and his son Jonathan died at the scene, according to Capt. Gaspar Maquiwe, chief of the Arakan police.

The victims were among the passengers of the multicab that was hit by a car driven by Indian national Akash Suresh  in Barangay Gambudes.

Suresh and his compatriots were reportedly drunk. They were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries along with six passengers of the multicab.

Probers said they found empty beer bottles in the car.
