MANILA, Philippines — A group advocating for the rights and welfare of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs)yesterday sought an investigation on the reported death of another Filipina domestic helper in Kuwait.

Aniceto  Bertiz, chairman of ACTS-OFW, urged the Department of Foreign Affairs to verify reports that another housemaid was killed in Kuwait after the government lifted the deployment ban.

Bertiz withheld the identity of the OFW pending notification of the victim’s family.

Last week, the government lifted the ban on the deployment of household service workers to Kuwait.
