DND personnel undergo drug test

MANILA, Philippines — More than 100 employees of the Department of National Defense (DND) were subjected to a mandatory drug test last week.   

The activity, led by the Office of the Undersecretary for Defense Policy, was facilitated by the National Reference Laboratory of the East Avenue Medical Center, an institution accredited by the Department of Health.

DND employees underwent drug testing pursuant to the agency’s campaign for a drug-free workplace.

The drug testing was also carried out in accordance with Department Circular No. 13 issued on July 17, 2017.

All government agencies have been conducting random drug testing for state workers.

The fight against illegal drugs has been the centerpiece of the Duterte administration.
