P6.8 million shabu seized in Marawi
ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A kilo of shabu with an estimated street value of P6.8 million was seized from two suspected drug dealers during a sting in the former battle area in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur yesterday.
Maj. Arvin John Encinas, spokesman for the Western Mindanao Command, said agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and soldiers of the 82nd Infantry Battalion conducted the operation along the Amai Pakpak National Highway in Barangay Datu Saber.
Encinas said Jamil Khalid and Saranganu Bangcorong Khalil were arrested.
He said security has been intensified in the former Marawi battle zone, which is reportedly being used in the illegal drug trade.
