Quakes jolt Laguna
MANILA, Philippines — Mild earthquakes have jolted parts of Laguna since Sunday.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs ) said a magnitude 1.9 quake occurred at around 1:15 a.m. yesterday.
The epicenter of the quake was located 11 kilometers southeast of Sta. Rosa, Laguna. It was felt at Intensity 2 in Biñan, Laguna.
Two magnitude 2.5 quakes hit Sta. Rosa at about 11:34 p.m. and 8:44 p.m. on Sunday.
Phivolcs said the first quake was felt at Intensity 3 in Sta. Rosa and Biñan.
The second tremor was felt at Intensity 4, which is classified as moderately strong, in Sta. Rosa and Intensity 3 in San Pedro and Biñan.
