10 areas in Pangasinan under dengue watch

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines  – Eight towns and two cities in Pangasinan are on the dengue watchlist due to the increase in the number of cases.

Provincial health officer Anna Ma. Teresa de Guzman said there are  28 cases in Binmaley, 27 each in San Carlos City and Sta. Barbara, 22 each in Urdaneta City and Calasiao, 17 in Mangaldan, 16 in Malasiqui, 12 in Lingayen and 10 each in Burgos and San Fabian.

“We’re afraid because in last week’s summary of data, we have recorded about 100 cases in just one week mostly from the central part of Pangasinan,” De Guzman said.

This city has 28 cases, health officer Aurora Cuison said.

The youngest patient is a six-month-old boy. The oldest is a 54-year-old man.
